On my gg-1000 i need to replace the battery every on or two years depending how much i use the compass and other function, so i disapprove on "never need a battery replacement" go with solar power. Thats why i bought gwg-1000, so i dont have to replace battery, its annoying when you pick it up and the battery indicator flashes.....

You should post a video with a review of your thoughts of all seller locations and the associated reputation. I did not know about India or Japan but those were both very helpful insights. I'd love to hear more.

I have a collection of 9 G-SHOCKs and 5 G-Shock-inspired Chinese watches. While I used to be a huge fan of G-Shocks, I don't wear them as often nowadays. My love for digital watches remains, but I've developed a preference for smaller and slimmer designs. These days, I'm more likely to wear an F91W over one of my G-Shocks. If Casio ever creates a slimmer version of the G-Shock, I'd be thrilled to start wearing them regularly again. For now, my G-Shocks remain in my collection, serving as a testament to how my tastes have evolved over time. They stand as grand wrist clock towers from years gone by. I guess I could get something like a G-056B, but nah... It's still a chunky clock tower.

Just looking up some info about my watch i got a few years ago and ran across your post. Its 6/20/2024 and I've never even cleaned this watch, probably wore it a few dozen times and it has a perfect time and digital date. Obviously you were ranting for views.

Beginner yes, Didn't know enough about Chronographs till buying one. I also thought it was D.O.A. then noticed the inner wheel turning and the watch was keeping time. I'm learning thanks to videos like yours. Keep posting and I will keep "WATCHING"

Just who is really wasting their money here? I've owned a genuine Omega (Speedmaster?) Moon watch from new, after using it for swimming over 1 week whilst sailing it got condensation in it and had to be serviced costing me £300 plus. I was complimented on it once in the 5 years I had it. I sold it on ebay and used the money to go on a cruise (Far Better Value) because if it says 30m water resistant that's 100 feet and I (and most divers) don't swim that deep. I was brought up on Seiko's I owned about 10 of them over the years they never leaked they took all the punishment a 250lb rugby player who swam for the county could throw at them. A few years ago, my Niece gave me a £50 Amazon coupon for a present so I put a few quid towards it and bought a gold and silver Invicta diver, whenever I wear it people comment on what a nice watch it is. It has an automatic movement with a yellow signed flywheel and I have worn it diving down to 10 m no problem. So yes I might be wasting money here, because I didn't buy the Casio F91W which does everything that My Invicta, My Omega and your Rolex does, but because it's quartz is probably more accurate than all of them put together. But I do know you have wasted a damn site more money, by several orders of magnitude and I suspect that part of you knows this and that is the real reason you are frothing at the mouth over this. Sorry I haven't paid a whole trench of money to bribe celebrities so that they will make me feel good about wearing a chunk of over engineered ancient technology on my wrist. I prefer to get value for my hard earned cash and it is really is only a watch, which is about 1000 times less useful as my Smartphone. Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff. Don't even get me started on vinyl!!!

Never invest money in "the cool kids". Luxury watches have no value. Anyone who isn't valuing their watches at $0 can't afford them and is just a gambler in a casino with extra layers of denial. Gamblers, Tulip bulb buyers, Day traders, NFT bros, and watch flippers are all the same thing and will be the ones faking it until they keep faking it.

You did not research the vostok that well The crown is incredibly innovative for the time it was designed. Nothing is like it. Look it up or read other comments The bezel though crude and scratchy. It is incredibly more useful. I use it all the time to time meetings. The ratchet is cool unidtectional is amazing for old-school diving but the audible sound unlike "slowly" rotating the vostok's. This is my daily watch. I own a nice collection but I always wear my at least vostok once a week. What you pretended to demonstrate about setting the time is either false advertising or you did not get the hang of rotating the crown properly which for a watch guy should be embarrassing. I like my seikos as well but you were not fair to vostok. Every detail was carefully designed. It tells a story that dates the Soviet era Unlike the seiko skx you chose for the versus which is a great watch but still more of a retail design. Everybody has the right to their opinion. Misrepresentation is a different thing.

Hodinkee used to have some great articles; Jason Heaton, James Stacey and Jack Forester to name a few. I've stopped going to there website after it started looking like one big advert. Times change. People move on.

I dont understand this big versus small case size with the current trend tending towards smaller sizes. I prefer the 41 to 42 mm case size because my eyesight ain't great. Although my wrist is also small I still prefer the 41 to 42 mm case size. Different strokes for different folks!

For someone supposed to be a watch expert its crazy he doesnt know its nicknamed the MARLIN because thats what the swordfish is on the front and back - maybe do some friggin research before asking dumb questions. I have three of these, two gold one black and all three are great. A small dab of silicone grease will smooth out the crown threads just fine, did mine. The indices deal is just a quarts think, its a 47 watcn get the hell over it, mine all keep great time its the best deal overall for a cheap dive style watch. I had to change the crappy band on all mine only because I hate rubber straps and no factory band fits my 8.5" wrists so mine all have nato bands. MDV106 is the model number

If you compare a Rolex to a MVMT I immediately discredit your opinion. I'm a huge watch fan, I have about 20 of them. But I don't buy $5000 watches I buy $100-$350 watches and I've NEVER been disappointed.
